The Alumni Affairs and Development (AAD) Business Intelligence team collaborates with business departments across the University to identify and implement business intelligence solutions that support the alumni affairs and development business initiatives through data-driven decision making. The team is also responsible for adhoc data analysis, trending, and predictive modeling used throughout central AAD. The team delivers customer focused service in the areas of business requirements/solutions development, business intelligence, project management and implementation, education, and end user support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
Gather and document functional and technical requirements, and translate requirements into reporting solutions, analytic tools, and dashboards that in turn delivers actionable data to the end users
Develop in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses of data
Develop expertise in the business operations of assigned departments and how data supports their operations in order to provide the most effective business intelligence solutions possible
Identify gaps in data collection, the data model, and meta data for future infrastructure enhancements
Create simple to complex data, reporting, and business intelligence solutions by utilizing existing reporting, analytics and business intelligence platforms
Comply with standards, best practices, and policies defined for the team
Provide support as required to ensure the availability and optimized performance of developed business intelligence applications and reports
Write high quality code to retrieve, analyze and present the data
Write and execute comprehensive test plans that validate the accuracy of information and functionality to ensure delivery of high quality business intelligence applications.
Serve as main point of contact for school developers, and facilitate moving their code through the different server environments.

Graduate from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree required, preferably with coursework in information systems or information technology. Minimum of two (4) years of experience supporting and implementing technology. Minimum of one (2) year of hands-on experience with business intelligence or equivalent experience in data analysis, reporting, and relational databases.
Detail-oriented and familiar with best practices for software development lifecycles.

Strong preference given to experience with QlikView, and data architecture. Web development experience a plus.
