The Office of Information Technology is seeking a Part–time Business Operations Analyst to provide general business process support and to serve as an operational point of contact for the department.
The incumbent is expected to manage the daily office operations to include: initiating procurement; processing invoices; expense chargebacks; and budget transfers while ensuring their compliance with University policies and departmental procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible for tracking payments, journal entries, budget transfers while ensuring their accuracy and proactively addressing and resolving potential issues using the various tools available through American University (Colleague, Business Intelligence, etc.). The incumbent is expected to run, and create monthly budget reports for the OIT Sr. Leadership Team and support the OIT budget as needed. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with executive level calendar management in initiating the scheduling of meetings; revising existing meetings; planning, coordinating department wide meetings and events; making room reservations; maintaining office supply inventory; ordering and maintaining an oversight of office supply deliveries; and initiating and following up on all facility related requests.

This position may supervise part-time, and interns as necessary

Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 2 years of financial experience in accounting and/or budgeting (may include internships)
