Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Administrative Affairs and working collaboratively with other members of the School, the Executive Director will manage a team of analytics and reporting specialists who draw upon internal and external sources of data to provide key intelligence to school leadership. The Executive Director will support the School's strategic planning process by collecting and presenting data in visually compelling formats to aid in decision making, and will provide ongoing business intelligence, in the form of both regular and ad hoc reports, that measure the School's performance against strategic goals and that effectively communicate that status of the School's programs and activities to internal and external audiences.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Strategic Intelligence a.Lead the development of new financial and program data resources, improve the consistency of finance and program data across units of the School b.Perform outreach efforts to identify and supply financial and program data analysis needed by decision-makers in the programs and administrative departments c.Lead the integration of financial and program data, which will facilitate analysis of cost efficiency of all administrative and academic activities of the School d.Develop statistical analyses that permit simulation of alternative policy decisions and their impact on out-year performance of the School e.Develop, implement and continuously improve processes and capabilities to ensure robust, consistent, and accurate analysis and support decision making processes in timely manner f.Develop processes and resources for analyzing and presenting external data, including competitive intelligence, to inform decision-making.
2.Reporting a.Prepare and deliver high-level reports, in compelling visual formats, to key audiences to facilitate decision-making b.Provide business interpretations of data for school leadership and participate in strategic discussions in various governance committee meetings, as needed.
3.Strategic Planning a.Serve as a key resource to the School's annual strategic planning process, led by the Executive Committee. b.Provide data-based, alternative scenarios to inform the School's long-term financial planning. c.In conjunction with the Senior Executive Director for Finance and Risk Management and the Executive Committee, develop the School's long-term financial plan.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or requested.

General Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and seven to nine years of experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: - Demonstrated leadership experience in financial planning and/or analytics - Extensive experience with interpreting and communicating data-based insights to key decision makers. - Must have the initiative and ability to start and complete projects with minimum direction as well as the ability to work as part of a team. - Stellar analytical and strategic thinking skills with an ability to assess different scenarios and to develop useful management financial and program performance reports - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadlines required. - Consultative skill-set with proven experience in client service. - Strong project management, writing and editing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills required - Demonstrated organizational and supervisory experience essential
Preferred Qualifications: MBA. Management consulting experience coupled with proven consultative approach to solving business problems and addressing new opportunities highly desirable.
