Provides expertise in the analysis, design, development, and support of the Credit Union’s Enterprise Analytics and Reporting platforms. Provides added business value by building highly accurate, interactive and automated reports enabling data-driven decision making. Plays a key role in contributing to the BI Roadmap strategy.
Work with high-level stakeholders to illicit reporting requirements and translate the same into business and technical functional specifications.
Write complex SQL queries and reports to allow fast, effective and accurate access to data (various sources). Develop reports (standard, ad-hoc) and data extracts.
Actively participates in defying the company’s Data Management, industry best practices, standards and performance management efforts.
Recommend reporting and Data Management strategies for processes improvements. Optimize and improve report performance.
Compose and update technical and business specifications, procedures, and customer-facing documents.
Enforces Audit, Balance, and Control across the different data sources. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs of the Credit Union.
Lead and conduct cyclical reporting processes (i.e., month, quarter and year-end).
Support Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives. Identify and document data Owners and Stewards. Conduct peer reviews for Quality Assurance.
Estimate and prioritize workloads. Provide timely communication of work status.
Perform activities to incorporate and integrate data for application/project adoption.
Participate in the design and on-going management of a central ticketing system to be leveraged for IT and BI. Work on catering and solving tickets assigned to the Business Intelligence queue. Rapidly address issues and defects.
Conduct user Data Management/Reporting awareness and training.
Able to establish partnerships internal and external to the bank to address data and reporting needs.
Exert discipline using source code control.
Follow the development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, and Scrum.
Interact with and supports branch staff as well as other departments within the Credit Union.
Take ownership of individual growth and contributes to the overall success of the Business Intelligence department and the Credit Union.
Ensure confidentiality within all areas of responsibility.
Follow all procedures pertaining to the Credit Union’s policies of BSA, USA Patriot Act, Sarbanes–Oxley, and OFAC. Attend training when available, and to keep abreast of all information regarding changes and updates. Reporting to Management any acts of disregard to these policies.
Successfully complete all company required and job-specific training.
Perform additional duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or equivalent experience.
2-5 years overall Data and Reporting experience required
Strong experience in advanced reporting tools (i.e., BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports, Cognos, SSRS or comparable tools).
Strong experience in SQL and related Databases (i.e., MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
Experience with Business Intelligence performance management, analytics, dashboards, and visualization tools (i.e., Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, SAS or comparable tools).
Experience with Enterprise Scheduling practices and tools (i.e., Cisco Tidal, Autosys, Control-M, etc.).
Experience in Shell Scripting for Windows or UNIX.
Desirable practical experience on Data Integration. ETL methods and technologies (i.e., Informatica, Data Stage, Monarch, SSIS or comparable tools).
Desirable practical experience in Data Modeling and Data-warehousing techniques.
Exposure to Cloud Services and Databases (i.e., Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, Cloudera, Amazon Stack AWS, Cloud SQL, etc.).
Self-Motivated, positive, team player passionate about data and the various ways to consume, deliver, visualize, analyze, and represent it.
Experience in a financial institution with a strong knowledge of operations, technology, systems, policies and procedures, and related compliance issues preferred.
Ability to evaluate and learn new technologies quickly.

Physical Demands Efforts
This function requires moderate standing and walking with an extended period of sitting. Will be sitting while performing computer data entry functions. The position does not involve climbing or crawling but may on occasion kneel/squat. Requires lifting and moderate carrying of items up to 50 pounds such as a computer, monitor, or peripherals. Ability to operate normal office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax, scanner, and computer. Must be able to use computer tools, components, and peripherals.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
This position typically works in an office environment. Noise is moderate and typical of conversations and office equipment. Position requires flexible hours. Must maintain own vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to branch offices.
