Dunwoody College of Technology currently has the need for adjunct instructors in our Web Development Program. This position is responsible for initiating the teaching and learning process with a focus on continuous improvement in an environment in which students can accomplish the learning objectives of the course of instruction. The expected results are students able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, ethics, and use of proper tools to meet industry and professional business standards.
POTENTIAL AVAILABLE COURSES
CDEV1110 | Advanced Programming | Lec/Studio (4 Credits) - Monday/Thursday Evenings Create windows based applications. High-level, event-driven programming language concepts with an emphasis on user interface. Advanced object-oriented languages.
CDEV1111 | Programming Fundamentals II | Lecture (2 Credits) - Thursday Evenings Object-oriented and event driven-programming. Program construction, software creation problem-solving. Programming structures and coding recipes. Concrete application of concepts using easy-to-use but fully functional programming languages. Visual coding and environments. Game theory including collision and boundary detection. Versioning systems, testing strategies, change management tools.
Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions.
Creates a positive learning environment.
Monitors, assesses and advises learner on technical and academic progress and performance.
Uses current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction.
Develops and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction.
Assists in the recruitment and placement of learners.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
3 years professional experience in related field
Ability to learn new languages
Prior teaching experience preferred.
Experience with SQL Server Business Intelligence Studio, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS preferred
QA/Testing experience preferred
Professional experience related to network/infrastructure technologies preferred
