MANAGER, INVESTMENT OPERATIONS , MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Investment Operations (IO) Team , to serve as a senior member of the IO team, maintaining systems to support life cycle events related to all types of investments. Will work closely with the senior manager of investment operations to problem solve, establish strategy, and initiate process improvements; and exercise independent judgment, cross-train peers, and lead by example in the successful execution of actions related to trading and collateral management, treasury and cash management, and lifecycle investment processing.
MITIMCo manages a broad array of assets including real property in Cambridge, private equity, hedge funds, as well as equity, fixed-income instruments, and derivatives. The IO team works to deliver information to inform decisions and execute trade strategies to enable portfolios.
REQUIRED : relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) or a post-graduate degree or progress towards one; advanced-level analytical and quantitative skills; detail-orientation; strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; knowledge of financial instruments; strong Excel skills; and ability to deal with ambiguity, exercise independent judgement, demonstrate initiative, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. At least eight years' relevant professional experience in trade operations, middle office, or fund accounting preferred. Familiarity with working with derivatives and private fund investments; experience working with trading/investment/order management systems (e.g., ACA/Northpoint, Bloomberg, Eze Castle, Murex, Calypso, etc.); comfort with data analytics and business intelligence tools; and the ability to code in VBA would be a plus.
