1. Maintain a master list of domain data elements and participate in batch data conversion activities that will align and standardize key data elements across all RE systems where appropriate. Work with business owners to correct synthetic key discrepancies for the RE DataMart load process. Play a significant role in the standardization of domain data across primary and secondary systems across the university. 2. Partner with management and staff of Research Administration to identify and manage QC processes which includes monitoring data for completeness, accuracy and timeliness. Identify opportunities for automated solutions to increase efficiency and strengthen data quality. i.e. define business rules for automating high-volume/prone to error manual tasks to reduce overall data entry burden on the business while increasing data quality. 3. Maintain the RE data vault data dictionary while adhering to precise governance rules around domain data. 4. Document requirements for RE data vault expansion. Develop/execute functional test plans for data integration projects 5. Develop/maintain functional requirements, business justifications, and data mapping documentation for data transformation processes such as data integrations and data set creation consumed by external partners inside/outside the university. 6. Support/maintain scheduled events that provide predefined datasets to internal/external data partners for sanctioned business functions. Provide support to end-users to document enhancement or data change requests as needed. 7. Provide analytical support for gap analyses, cost/benefit analyses, and risk assessments as it relates to new technology or business process redesign. 8. Participate in early-adoption and proof of concept activities as it relates to next generation technologies when appropriate.
Preferred Education: Experience with research administration business processes and systems. Knowledge of InfoEd or other proposal development software is highly desired. Experience with regulatory concepts in research administration including Conflict of Interest requirements.
