A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this role, you will…
Lead, motivate, develop, and support a team of 10 analysts to meet both organizational and client needs.
Support the Director of Business Intelligence, and manage the business intelligence team in developing effective workflows, solving and mitigating complex issues and maintaining valuable relationships.
Manage all reporting requests and priorities across multiple lines of business.
Work with business leaders to determine data and reporting needs.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure timelines and deliverables are realistic and actionable
DETAILED JOB DUTIES
Develop creative solutions to facilitate decision making within the business.
Lead trainings and workgroups for members and staff; mentor, coach and train less experienced business intelligence analysts.
Manage the intake system for all reporting requests and assign work across the business intelligence team.
Track and measure team, project, and individual performance goals
Manage projects, programs, and work activities of the Business Intelligence team, ensuring deliverables are met on time.
Ensure new staff are on-boarded in a measured manner that prepares them for success.
Work with team to identify, document, and implement potential process improvements.
Ensure reporting/analytics correspond with underlying workflows and processes established.
Work with clients to engage user community and promote platform adoption.
Oversee the deployment of all dashboards and reports to ensure standards or quality are met.
Serve as a subject matter expert for BI end user solutions, including sharing skills with technically-inclined business users.
Utilize and master third-party tools, such as Excel, SSRS, Power BI and SQL Server.
Write and maintain technical documentation.
Perform all other duties assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
You possess …
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience or leadership roles within teams highly preferred
Demonstrate the ability to receive, prioritize and complete tasks from multiple sources with minimal supervision.
Experience using analytic and business intelligences tools and/or programming languages such as SQL, SSRS, Power BI
Strong organizational skills and an ability to work in a fast –paced environment with shifting priorities.
Process Oriented – the ability to understand, work in, create and improve processes.
Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
Previous supervisory/leadership experience.
Possesses strong attention to detail
Ability to work successfully and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
General understanding of relational databases and SQL queries.
Ability to receive, prioritize and complete tasks from multiple sources with minimal supervision
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
Ability to work with multiple groups from both business and technology.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize clear requirements from user inputs.
Comfortable in demonstrating reports and presenting analysis to executives and managers.
Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and macros.
Experience with Power BI preferred, but not required.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and structure of a relational database.
Knowledge of DAX preferred, but not required.
Experience with a language such as R or Python is a plus.
