The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the my.harvard Schools, to gather business requirements for new enhancements and design, document and present solutions. This hands-on role will include application configuration, set-up and testing within the various PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules. The ideal candidate must demonstrate creativity, a keen problem-solving ability along with proven leadership, collaboration and facilitation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Schools with various activities, including: requirements gathering, system configuration, development of presentation materials, documentation, customer outreach, issue management, troubleshooting, peer outreach and end-user training.
Interview key stakeholders and end users on business processes and needs; translate business requirements into Agile stories.
Work with the technical team to convey and clarify requirements as part of the development process.
Participate in daily stand-ups, planning and retrospective meetings.
Present at user group meetings.
Develop expertise in multiple modules of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Build expertise in Oracle Business Intelligence for operational, analytic, and ad hoc reporting.
Develop test scripts and execute testing to ensure new products, enhancements, defect fixes, and patches function as expected, without introducing regression issues.
Provide functional support during project/release go-lives, which may include occasional evening or weekend work.
Assist with general administration, special projects, and perform other related job duties as needed.

Bachelor's degree with coursework in information systems or computer science preferred; or equivalent experience.
At least five (5) years experience working with administrative systems, preferably in a business analyst capacity.
At least three (3) years experience working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or other student administration applications.
Direct experience with business analysis tools and techniques strongly desired.
Experience with business intelligence/reporting strongly desired.
Solid understanding and demonstrated use of iterative development (preferably Agile) desired.
Proven communications and writing ability (sample will be required).
Demonstrated organizational skills, especially with the ability to manage and track a large number of details and facts and understand how each detail fits into the "big picture."
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment; willingness to go "above and beyond" to meet critical deadlines.
Adept at evaluating problems accurately and displaying sound judgment, including measured risks and timely escalation.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and technical-writing ability.
Fluency with Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
Proven experience with relational databases including SQL.
