Designs, develops, tests, publishes and supports mission-critical reporting and decision support deliverables for University Human Resources, including ones developed for a wide range of internal and external information consumers. Supports existing report objects and creates new ones with tools such as SQL, Perl and Tableau, as well as providing ad hoc and recurring data extracts.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and three years of related work experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Experience and a high level of proficiency with SQL and relational databases, and with one or more business-oriented programming languages. Demonstrated commitment to continuously develop technical skills within existing and new tool sets and to expand knowledge of supported business processes. Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals. Possess strong analytical skills, specifically oriented to working with complex data sources and a positive, proactive approach to problem solving; and proven ability to work independently as well as in a multi-role team environment.
Experience with Perl, Tableau, Business Intelligence / data analytics and/or PeopleSoft HRMS.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Standard office physical requirements, including ability to sit at a computer workstation for up to 8 hours in a day.
