The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a four-year undergraduate college of the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for a non-tenure stream Assistant Professor of Information Systems beginning August 2019. Doctoral degree in MIS, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred; Master's degree in one of the above areas required; teaching experience at the college level preferred; professional experience in IS or IT desirable. Responsible for teaching some combination of: Introduction to Information Systems, Database Management, Quality Assurance, Graphic Design, Enterprise Applications, and Business Intelligence. The ability to teach courses such as Hardware/Operating Systems and Networking are also desirable. Four course teaching load per semester.
Information Systems is a growing program at Pitt-Johnstown. We are seeking an individual who will assist in its development and direction, and work closely with local businesses to create experiential learning opportunities. Teaching responsibilities include four courses each semester.
Candidates should exhibit skill and enthusiasm in teaching undergraduates and developing innovative experiential learning opportunities in the surrounding community, and be willing to participate in all phases of departmental, divisional, and college activities.
