The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Research Administration Services (RAS) supports the research and scholarly activities of FAS and SEAS faculty in collaboration with research and administrative staff. RAS support areas include: 1) Strategic services for faculty seeking grant funding; 2) Sponsored research proposal development, review, award and financial management; 3) Creation, implementation and upkeep of research policy, systems, and procedures; 4) Professional development of researchers and research administrators; 5) Research integrity guidance; 6) Compliance monitoring and audit support; and 7) Administrative staffing for the Committee on the Use of Human Subjects (CUHS - University IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Committee on Research Policy (CRP), Committee on Professional Conduct (CPC).

MBA or Masters' degree in relevant field
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of advanced financial principles, budget management, financial analysis
Knowledge of Sponsored related policies. Knowledge of effort reporting / salary certification and experience with eCRT (effort reporting systems) preferred. Knowledge of Federal Regulations, including OMB's Uniform Guidance, NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide, NIH and other sponsored research policies and procedures, etc. required. Experience with Harvard Financial Compliance systems to include GMAS, SPECTRA, ecrt, CREW/OBIEE - Oracle Business Intelligence and Tableau preferred. Demonstrated ability to work constructively in a team setting and collaboratively across functions. Must have strong writing, interpersonal, organizational, communication, computer, and financial skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Understanding of 9-month appointments and supplemental salary preferred.
