Loyola University Maryland is seeking a Business and Finance Budget Manager. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Budget and Business Intelligence with responsibilities for supporting the Associate Vice President for Facilities and Campus Services, and working with other directors in Facilities and Campus Services, the Business and Finance Budget Manager provides policy guidance, strategic financial planning, budget management and directs the preparation and administration of annual and capital budgets. The Business and Finance Budget Manager will also be involved in broader University budget analyses. This position will conduct statistical and financial analyses of Facilities, Campus Services, and other Business & Finance strategies, policy initiatives and issues. They will analyze and forecast major economic and financial trends, direct the preparation and administration of annual operational and capital budgets for both short and long range fiscal planning. Track and analyze costs for all Facilities, Campus Services and other Business & Finance budgets throughout the year. Monitor actual performance versus budget, researching and investigating any variances to expected results. Responsible for analytical support of Facilities' budgetary issues such as deferred maintenance, cost summaries for construction projects, Facilities' services, warehouse and other department functions. Serve as project lead for high-level assignments, performing complex ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management. Responsible for providing data and working with the Controller's Office on fixed assets, annual audit issues, construction-in-progress reports and utility accruals. Analyze and evaluate current business practices and recommend actions and best practices. Responsible for successful and timely completion of fiscal year-end closing. Provide and supervise internal control functions in the department, assuring control of financial resources, records and accountability are being met.
