New York University Information Technology (NYU IT) is seeking a Project Leader who will design and develop secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions and support to satisfy University and client functional and business requirements. The Project Leader will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes and deliverables. This role will:
Create the overall architecture vision for integration technologies and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributing to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture;
Provide technical leadership to the team to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of various new technologies (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, Attunity, Matillion, etc);
Provide architectural leadership on key strategic projects, ensuring alignment between the architectural domains and working closely with the information, integration, application, business and infrastructure teams;
Leverage experience in architecting systems with Open Source and AWS/Cloud tools, in building cloud-native enterprise scale applications, and in performance tuning of cloud-based applications to inform solutions;
Act as a liaison between the IT development group and business for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems for data strategy;
Identify the gaps between the future-state and current-state information architecture and develop plans for moving toward the future state
Transform existing application and services, for Enterprise Data Management team to Micro services based Architecture using AWS Platform.
The Project Leader will take a practical approach to balancing architectural purity with business delivery objectives and be responsible for the operational aspects of ensuring the data accuracy of an enterprise application as part of daily operations.
Relevant courses (systems analysis, database systems, Java, Python, web programming)
10 years of progressively responsible experience developing and implementing technology solutions. Must include 5 years' experience with designing and implementing systems including any of the following: data warehouse technologies (Informatica, IBM Data Stage, Ab Initio, etc.), data analysis, system design and modeling, business intelligence, reporting operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 5+ years' experience implementing Data warehouse solutions; and 2+ years' experience in Cloud Services. Experience working in Agile/Dev Operations environment with continuous integration and continuous deployment and application lifecycle management. Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, FERPA, HIPAA etc.)
Related data warehousing experience, which could include ETL expertise, dimensional data modeling, Star join schema modeling, FACT and dimensions tables, and Physical and Logical data modeling. Expertise with PeopleSoft EPM and OBIEE. OBIEE experience to include system administration knowledge.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to program using IBM Data Stage ETL tool Knowledge of PL/SQL, ETL Tools, Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema Modeling, FACT and dimensional tables. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in SQL, XML, JSON, and scripting.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of Oracle database administration; Proficiency in programming languages; XML, Windows, LINUX, and UNIX platforms, LAN technologies.
