As the Enterprise Information Manager, you are responsible for planning, launching and leading the Information as an Asset (IaaA) program, with the ultimate goal of supporting business leaders in using information to analyze programs, business, productivity, and performance . You will work with leaders to establish and operate an evolving collaboration of data stewards and analysts to enable data sharing and analytics for the institution. In order to ensure that the data is meeting legal and ethical standards , you will have sound knowledge of privacy principles and regulatory requirements pertaining to the storage and dissemination of data.
Your core responsibilities include:
Program & Project Management:
Lead Overall IaaA Program - Develop data governance roadmap and establish overall framework and processes for creation and maintenance of standard definitions, metadata and data management practices.
Champion formation of a Data Stewardship Committee , influence and educate partners on Data Stewardship.
Ensure continuous improvement , maintaining current knowledge of partner needs, challenges, and opportunities and also staying ahead of meaningful industry and technology advances.
Develop data management standards and policies to ensure stewardship, regulatory compliance and issue resolution.
Develop data acquisition, maintenance, and distribution policies, along with processes and practices that advance data quality across the lifecycle.
Provide collaborative leadership to ensure the successful completion of schedules, timelines, planning, and documentation.
Adoption & Training:
Actively communicate with staff and senior leaders to increase their awareness of data governance, information management and quality improvement efforts
Facilitate data definitions, data quality and dashboard development training to expand the adoption and awareness of integration, BI analytics, data governance and metadata capabilities for staff.
BS Degree in Information Science, business or other relevant fields
Five years of dynamic professional work experience related to program management with a history of success with IT data analytics and governance, including three years in a leadership role .
Two years experience leading Projects and multi-functional teams in a complex IT environment.
Tried change agent with deep understanding of challenges and techniques.
Tireless passion for relationship building and ability to communicate effectively with partners at multiple levels, including Senior Leaders, across a large enterprise.
Solid knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to data quality, storage, protection and dissemination.
Demonstrable experience as an influencer and motivator with the ability to make difficult decisions with tact, maturity, good judgement and with acute sensitivity to the political environment
Strong initiative to keep up-to-date with changing technologies and new and revised data governance guidelines and standards as implemented by regulatory bodies.
Knowledge of database concepts, Information Management, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Integration technologies
Experience leading a team of skilled information management professionals
PMP certified Project experience in agile environment.
Experience in a non-profit organization environment
Experience in dealing effectively with diverse groups of people in different disciplines, including Finance, HR, Research and Advancement.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Information Science, Business Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
