Bradley is seeking an innovative, fearless and talented Research Specialist. As a Research Specialist at Bradley, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional and cost-effective research for attorneys, clients and staff but our ideal candidate is someone who thinks out of the box and is ready to be a force in moving the Research Services Department forward with new ideas and in collaboration with other Firm departments. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting users in the selection research tools.
Developing user guides and tutorials.
Identifying and evaluating sources. Coordinating product demonstrations and trials.
Creating and implementing methods providing current awareness and business intelligence for attorneys and he Business Development Department.
Collecting and analyzing data regarding resources and services by the department to recommend improvements in departmental processes and tools.
Market the Research Services Department forging collaborative relationships with attorneys, staff and other firm departments.
Masters degree in library/information science, J.D., equivalent degree or experience preferred.
High level expertise of legal and business databases such as Westlaw, LexisAdvance, Bloomberg Law, Cheetah, Capital IQ, Hoovers as well as other major subject specific resources.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and document management systems. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Client service focused.
Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.
Accuracy, attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Various physical activity may be required, including but not limited to: crouching, reaching, lifting above the head, using step stool, etc. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
