Coordinate projects within the Equities Derivatives area to establish global Straight Through Processing (STP) of Equity Swaps and Corporate Actions, including project plans, task lists, requirements capture, test script preparations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production roll-out. Ensure that thorough business analysis is performed and accurate and detailed business requirements are developed and documented with the support of the appropriate Operations, Strats, and Desk resources. Develop strong relationships with IT colleagues to design, develop, and implement technology platforms to deliver solutions to these business requirements. Develop comprehensive and robust test cases/plans and coordinate the execution of these tests to ensure successful delivery of these technology platforms. Work with other teams to develop best practice methodologies and approaches for business analysis and delivery of technology as well as process solutions to business problems. Develop and present release notes, user guides, and system training to users globally. Coordinate steering committee monthly governance and report accomplishments, next steps, and issues to senior stakeholders globally. Monitor market wide regulatory changes impacting the swap business and assess the impact to the portfolio of projects.
Requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years of experience as a Consultant, Systems Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related occupation. Will accept a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and two (2) years of experience. Will accept any amount of experience with: equity swaps product and process; derivative products including equity derivatives; corporate action processing; tax regulations (871M, BEATs tax, long term short term capital gains); front to back operational processes supporting the equity swaps and derivative products; middle office/trade support including trade booking and lifecycle management (increase, assignment, expiration, and corporate action processing); settlement including cash flow affirmation, netting, and settlement accounting; ensuring correct client reporting at EOD; recommending best practices; effectively mitigating the risks associated with global derivatives processing across markets and products; liaising with stakeholders across geographical and functional boundaries; leading the creation and migration of trades to a new entity; extracting business requirements; translating business requirements into functional specifications; business analysis including requirements capture and developing a future state architecture/organizational model; project delivery; program and stakeholder management; leveraging technology platforms across businesses; incorporating project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or Design Thinking in executing end to end projects; project management software including ALM, HP QC, and MS Project/Visio; MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access; and preparing and presenting presentations.
