Princeton University’s Office of Information Technology is seeking a Lead Developer/Analyst I (ETL) to join its Center for Data, Analytics and Reporting (CeDAR) team.
Workingunder the limited supervision of the Manager of Development and Operations, the Lead Developer/Analyst partners with customers to gather requirements and develop highquality services, interfaces, and applications. Testing, maintenance, and customer support are also among the responsibilities of this position.This role also analyzes and documents complex enterprise business requirements and implements Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that are of strategic value to the University.
Design and createFrame Work models
Develop and support the ETL interfaces using DataStage
Support clients in the use of various BI tools and utilities
Develop and support Linux and PL/SQL scripts and procedures
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Support the security model and report distribution options
Provide off-hour support, when needed
Work on special projects, as assigned
When provided access to personal, proprietary and/or otherwise confidential data, maintain such data in the strictest confidence and follow procedures to ensure the privacy, security, and proper use of data
7-10 yearsof experience designing and developing DataStage ETL interfaces
Strong working knowledge of BI tools (such as Cognos)
Extensive knowledge and competency in using RDBMS-Oracle (such as Oracle), including the ability to read/write SQL
Experience in data warehousing
Strong interpersonal andoral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in teams and a willingness to share ideas and development techniques with team members
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task between and among projects and applications
Ability to communicate effectively with customers that have varied levels of technical proficiency
Experience inMicrosoft Word and Excel
Experience with web/Internet technology: HTML, XML, JSON, JAVA, JAVA script, and APIs
Experience working with Hadoop Ecosystem components
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
