The Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) is currently seeking a Senior Research Systems Business Analyst. This position functions as data management support for the clinical trial management system (CTMS) for the enterprise through the CRSO. This position will report directly to the CRSOCTMS Administrator and will have frequent contact with faculty and staff engaged in the operational support of clinical trials at the University of Kentucky. This role will help aggregate and visualize research data into usable spreadsheets and custom reports. The individual in this role must be able to write complex SQL queries to the Oracle database that houses the clinical trials management system. Experience with Forte's OnCore CTMS is preferred (alternatively, demonstrated experience with another commercial CTMS is valuable).
Additionally, the preferred candidate will:
Possess the ability to interpret research and business data needs and convey information through custom reports that are comprehensible to research professionals with various technical skill levels.
Conduct statistical analysis and verify the validity of exported data.
Customize existing and create new custom reports to import and use within the CTMS.
Create visualizations that may include graphical representations and heat charts.
Have a basic understanding of Application Programming Interface (API) and communication between integrated software.
Assist CTMS Administrator as a backend database expert through troubleshooting, creation of database triggered reports, and help maintain the integrity of collected research data.
Work well within teams and as an individual.
