Business Intelligence Support Specialists provide Member/Customer support for reporting/business intelligence needs. Success requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers clearly and effectively as well as proficiency in understanding how to query and present data in reports/visualizations. Product knowledge within one or more products in NISC’s enterprise is desired, but not necessary. Provide superior customer support to internal and external customers in all aspects of application support.
Prepare Change Requests (CRs) and follow-up to resolution.
Assist in performing research of basic level application problems, resolve issues for Member/Customers.
May perform training or deliver remote application training to Member/Customers via Web Tools.
On-call, after-hours rotation on evenings and weekends may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
0+ years of related experience preferred.
Basic level knowledge of business-related software applications and services.
Familiarity with accounting theory, the electric or telecom industries, and/or NISC is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent telephone/email etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with Member/Customers.
Strong researchand problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Basic ability to troubleshoot.
Basic level ability to demonstrate initiative & accountability.
Basic level ability to multi task and time manage.
Basic knowledge of business intelligence, report writing, data visualizations, or related experience.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Basic knowledge of other integrated SQL tools such as PLSQL Developer and DBVisualizer.
Ability to organize and prioritize concurrent projects.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the position.

Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
