Qualifications REQUIRED -Two years or more years of recent healthcare informatics work experience required. -Extensive experience with business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards, and best practices. -Experience in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems. -Experience with data modeling and data visualization software. Responsibilities The OR Scheduling Specialist (Bus Intel Spec 3) conducts analysis of complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/available data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. Develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. The OR Scheduling Specialist (Bus Intel Spec 3) will be primarily responsible for the Electronic Staffing System and all scheduling and daily needs for the Main OR. Incorporating data from EcoTime, Ansos, LOA-Leaves module as well as data related to LOA-Services/FMLA/CFRA/WC and Light Duty. Scheduling also consists of maintaining the on-call, overtime shifts, holiday time, vacations and professional development leave. Having a good understanding of the Union Contracts as it applies to all OR personal and applying this knowledge while scheduling. Serves as analyst for developing methods and ensures the appropriate methodology, design and deployment of Process, Performance, and Quality Improvement projects. Supports administration, management, and staff with the implementation of effective methodologies to improve staffing schedule design, process, and implementation. Proficiently utilize analytical tools associated with projects and the use of data to support recommendations. This position requires autonomous project management with maximum accountability and minimum supervision. Duties include analysis, creation, and distribution of data and reports. Serves as analyst for developing methods and ensures the appropriate methodology, design, and deployment of division-wide Business Intelligence and Performance Improvement projects. Design and develop training and delivery of information related to projects, support administration, management, and staff with the implementation of effective methodologies to improve internal and external processes. Guide staff with the use of analytical tools associated with projects and the application of recommendations. Guide the division in managing changes related to the implementation and use of change management methodologies. Apply program management techniques to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality project outcomes. Manage projects and ensure compliance. Works in close collaboration with the director and assistant director of the division, managers, and staff ' including managers and staff in other departments. Works in close collaboration with the director of the division, management team and perioperative staff.
