While data has been integral to SVB's growth over the past 30+ years, we're placing an even greater emphasis on being a data-driven organization by establishing the Analytics & Sales Operations team to support all sales focused aspects of our banking practices.
We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Operations Sr Manager to lead a team of diverse associates in various offices, providing guidance and developing their skills as they support their individual business lines. This position offers the opportunity to uncover areas to improve the sales cycle by implementing new processes, developing actionable analytics and working closely with sales leaders to execute their initiatives and grow their business. This includes a variety of projects to generate revenue, deepen client relationships and develop market insights that will help the sales teams capitalize on banking and lending opportunities. Furthermore, this person will play a significant role in creating business intelligence tools to measure team performance and help shape business strategy.
This position will lead and coach a team of associates that will support various sales units with the aim to help them achieve their strategic goals. Examples of responsibilities for the team include:
Identifying opportunities to use proprietary datasets and external company data to extract valuable insights and present these findings to key stakeholders.
Creating high-quality industry reports for internal consumption and external distribution that combines market observations from sales teams and data insights
Supporting senior executives in tracking team performance and analyzing key metrics related to client acquisition pipeline, loan portfolio, funding, product penetration, referral channels, etc.
Researching and profiling targeted prospects, reporting and analyzing portfolios, identifying and aggregating current SVBFG relationships, and identifying potential cross-selling opportunities for prospects.
Assisting with maintenance and accuracy of company data within SVB's data warehouse, CRM systems and other repositories
Reinforcing best practices for sales tools and processes
7+ years of directly relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, mathematics or statistics, and an accomplished academic record
Strong understanding of technology, startup, and venture capital ecosystems
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail
Ability to complete tasks independently or in small teams with minimal oversight
Knowledge of banking products, financial statements, and credit underwriting desired
Prior industry or market research experience preferred
Familiarity with database tools and programming languages such as R, SQL, VBA, and Tableau is preferred
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint Skills
