The Saunders College of Business is served by 55 full-time faculty members who value collegiality and teamwork. The Saunders College is accredited by AACSB International and offers bachelors' degrees in business administration with nine different majors. Graduate programs include an MBA, an Executive MBA, and Masters of Science programs in several disciplines, including Business Analytics. Saunders is ranked in the top 100 by US News and World Report. For the past five years, the colleges MIS Program has been ranked in the top ten nationally by College Factual (#6 in 2019). A successful candidate will join the Department of MIS, Marketing, and Digital Business, which houses the MIS and Marketing programs at the undergraduate level and the MS in Business Analytics (MS-BA) program at the graduate level. The objective of the recently-launched MS-BA program is to prepare students to manage the unprecedented amounts of data businesses are creating and to lead in data-driven business environment. In both the MIS and MS-BA programs, students develop a strong foundation in data management, business/systems analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling.

Detailed Job Description
The Saunders College of Business invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate level in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business Analytics. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate MIS and/or Business Analytics courses and publishing high quality scholarly research. The Saunders College values collegial individuals who are excellent communicators, innovative teachers, and active researchers. The Saunders College works closely with the business community, which provides research and professional opportunities. The typical teaching schedule is five semester courses per year, with an initial course load of four semester courses per year prior to the attainment of tenure.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates should hold a PhD. with a focus in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited institution. For rank of Assistant Professor, candidates may be ABD with expected completion by August 2020. For rank of Associate Professor, candidates must have a proven record of scholarly research and evidence of teaching excellence and strong service experience.
We seek candidates whose interests and expertise align with our MIS and MS-BA program curricula. The new hire will play an integral role in defining the direction of these programs and developing new courses of interest. With respect to the MS-BA program, a successful candidate will help to build and grow the program. Across the programs, the curricula include coursework in business intelligence, statistical analysis, data analytics, database development, data management, and systems analysis & design.
Candidates must have strong research skills and potential for scholarly research as demonstrated by presentations/proceedings in academic conferences or publications in peer reviewed journals. Candidates should also have a potential or demonstrated ability to teach effectively. All candidates should have a willingness to interact with the business community and an ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the colleges continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
