Under general supervision, designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an increasing understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and fact-based management to drive decision-making.
The Business Intelligence & Analytics team provides the Customer Solutions department with analytical capabilities to support Sales and FedEx customers with the most relevant and effective information. The team leverages advanced descriptive and predictive techniques and tools to accomplish this mission. Skills Considered a Plus:
Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to analyze data in a scientific approach to determine best solution
Experience or knowledge of descriptive and/or predictive analytics
Background in SQL and/or Access
Experience in Business Intelligence tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Knowledge of SQL databases
Pay Band: SJ Domicile: Memphis, TN Relocation assistance will be considered but is based on business decision.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance. Two (2) years work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis,marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics. Proficient in analytics software and applications. Good interpersonal skills. Good written and oral communication skills.
