DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc.
The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. (UTFI), seeks the next Director of Business Intelligence to lead efforts to maintain and enhance a sustainable business intelligence (BI) platform. Using advanced business analysis concepts and drawing from a comprehensive knowledge of fundraising management principles, the Director will resolve highly complex operational issues in order to meet the philanthropic objectives of the University of Tennessee Foundation.
BI will be used extensively to better understand and enhance key business behaviors that drive fundraising and constituent engagement, such as donor acquisition and retention, data acquisition and maintenance, and prospect management. The BI environment will also be used for integrated reporting across all campuses and for the integration of data from complex sources, including those containing unstructured data.
The Director will focus on data strategy and manage the flow and integrity of the data into and out of our data warehouse to ensure staff have the necessary information and insights for daily operational decisions and strategic planning. This position will build upon an existing BI environment and lead a team already experienced in delivering dashboards, integrating new data sources, adding KPIs, providing analytics, and mining and modeling data.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services and serving as a member of the leadership team, the Director will assess current and emerging needs and provide strategic and operational support to senior executives, fundraisers, and departmental users throughout the Foundation by supplying accurate and timely information on an as-needed basis.
