The IT Enterprise Application Support Manager reports to the IT Director Enterprise Systems and manages the Yardi accounting/general ledger, bank reconciliation, job cost, Payscan, Marketplace, and VendorCafe systems; Administers the Yardi procure-to-pay (Payscan), general ledger, and job cost systems; functions as a liaison between the Accounting and IT departments. Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with accounting teams to evaluate current accounting processes to identify and implement process efficiencies through system automation enhancements. Administers Yardi procure-to-pay (Payscan), general ledger and job cost systems to include, but not limited to:
a) Assists with online purchasing support to ensure vendor catalog, shopping list, jobs and categories are current and working properly.
b) Maintains Payscan purchase order and invoice workflows.
c) Performs periodic maintenance including proper testing using defined change management procedures.
d) Monitors scheduled tasks to ensure completion and escalate any issues.
e) Provides administrative support for job cost maintenance.
f) Provides system support during year-end 1099 reporting.
g) Monitors financial integrations with the Yardi system.
h) Performs tier 2 and 3 system support including troubleshooting system issues and providing solutions which may also include working with the external Yardi support team.
Collaborates with the operations teams to identify procurement-related process improvements and interface with key users for testing and implementation.
Assists with identifying reporting requirements and work with the business intelligence team to test and execute reports.
Works with the Yardi system administrator to periodically assess user security and permissions and ensure proper internal controls are met.
Periodically trains Yardi support team and user provisioning team on new features and issue resolution.
Works with the training department to ensure Yardi system procedures, quick reference guides and training materials are current.
Assists with overseeing monthly Yardi power user meetings to ensure adequate support is provided in the field.
Serves as liaison to IT during monthly accounting department management meetings to provide representation and feedback for any procedural issues that arise.
Assists with financial and operational audits by providing data and insights as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Bachelor s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study with at least five years of application systems support or related property management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
Previous experience utilizing database queries and structures for modeling, extracting and reporting information preferred
Previous experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and advanced use of Microsoft Excel concepts and functions preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the Yardi enterprise system including job cost, Payscan, and general ledger
Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices, and methods
Knowledge of information technology general controls to include user security and systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Skill in identifying and analyzing complex issues, drafting recommendations and implementing solutions supported by data analysis
Skill in prioritizing and leading multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish with minimal oversight
Skill in directing the work of Yardi support team members towards common goals
Skill in written and verbal communication and presentation
Skill in detail-orientation, organization and time management
Skill in taking initiative via independent action and calculated risks while asking/offering help when needed
Skill with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Ability to travel 10% to 25% of the time for meetings, training, and events
