ING is looking for a (Senior) Credit Risk Data Analyst Tribe Credit Risk Management (CRM) is an enthusiastic and diverse team of highly qualified professionals. We are responsible for managing the credit risks in the lending portfolios of all segments in the ING NL book. We do this by maintaining adequate and compliant policies, setting credit risk appetite, monitoring the portfolios using data driven analyses and developing predictive risk models. We closely cooperate with our business stakeholders to guide them to better business while pro-actively managing the associated credit risks.
Tribe CRM comprises of a team of 35 experts, spread across three chapters: Policies, Risk Intelligence, and Predictive Analytics. Good credit risk data is at the core of all our activities, combining business expertise with data driven analyses. We use state-of-the-art business intelligence methods and technologies to explore, analyse, and leverage data. We keep up-to-date on the latest trends relevant to us in areas like Credit Risk regulations, Data Management, and Machine Learning. For the Risk Intelligence chapter (12 FTE), we are looking for a Credit Risk Data Analyst with a passion for data driven analysis to assist in bringing credit risk management for the business lending portfolio to the next level. Risk Intelligence is the chapter that provides expertise on credit risk analysis, data management, credit risk regulations and loan loss provisioning to the squads of CRM to help realizing their ambitions. The position offers excellent opportunities to broaden your credit risk management and data analytics competencies while working on your soft skills by advising our stakeholders.
What does a (Senior) Credit Risk Data Analyst at ING do? As a (Senior) Credit Risk Data Analyst, you will work on a wide variety of topics focused on maintaining the quality of the lending portfolio, both now and in the future. Your role will be to:
Perform data driven credit risk analyses on the Business Lending portfolios to support the management of Key Performance Indicators, Risk Appetite (RAS) limits, Loan Loss Provisioning and other key metrices;
Develop and maintain a high quality data environment containing 'data ready for use' to be used in both model development and regulatory / management reporting;
Support model development of regulatory (PD, EAD, LGD) and non-regulatory (credit approval, early warning) models;
Forecast and analyse of developments in provisions, risk costs, and CRWA;
Collaborate with risk managers from Chapter policies to develop adequate credit risk policies, e.g. related to the implementation of new credit risk regulations (e.g. Basel IV);
Contribute to bank-wide projects for which credit risk input is required: a.o. pricing, CRWA / capital optimization, and regulatory on-sites and requests;
Work according to ING's agile Way of Working, i.e. you work together with your squad members to deliver on the purpose and ambitions of your squad.
Additionally, you should have
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, supported by expert knowledge of BI tooling like SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Base or similar;
Interest in financial services, an innovative take on banking and an unconditional drive to turn your ideas into reality;
The ability to challenge the status quo;
Great team player skills;
And of course you should be fluent in English and/or Dutch.
