The College of Communications Arts & Sciences seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Human Resources Coordinator. This position provides professional level support in all human resources functions. Primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: working with various stakeholders to facilitate the hiring process for students, temporary employees, on-call employees, graduate assistants, faculty, and academic staff; primary contact for work visa requirements; coordinating HR related events including wellness initiatives; maintain personnel files; analyzing, compiling and providing reports related to Human Resources; assisting with College-wide projects related to Human Resources; performing other duties as assigned to carry out the mission of the University and the College.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in human resources, business, or a related social science field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in human resource function or an area related to departmental operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three or more years of related Human Resources experience.
Proven experience with Microsoft Office including 365, TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with University systems including SAP, Kuali Financial System, Business Intelligence, and the Applicant Tracking (PageUp) system.
Experience assisting in developing policies and procedures surrounding Human Resources and related business functions.
Experience in a Higher Education and service based work environment.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures, especially in the field of Human Resources.
Demonstrates a work orientation that includes problem solving, taking initiative, working as a part of a team, and learning for continuous self-improvement.
Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
Experience with data collection, analysis and reporting.
Experience with monitoring and maintaining human resource records
