JOB SUMMARY The Host team is seeking a creative data storyteller to analyze, synthesize, visualize, communicate, and manage projects for Host Labs, the strategic innovation center for CBRE Host.

What You Will Do:
Manage data activities that generate value for Host Labs
Track a variety of concurrent projects across offices
Solve issues that arise throughout the project process
Create relationships and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure successful execution
Utilize key tools to track data associated with projects; identify gaps in tools and data sources and escalate with proposed solutions
Tenaciously pursues amazing outcomes for Host and our global partners
Develop and manage information sources across disparate projects and geographies
Manage and scale current collection of data and information collected by Host
Generate opportunities for uncovering new data and information
Compile findings from information sources, partnerships, accounts that already exist
Generate and propose new ideas for testing based on information derived

Mine and analyze data to uncover and communicate insights that articulate the value of Host to our partners
Uncover and distill the unifying string through complex and disparate data sources

This role will assist and support the evaluation of proprietary and third-party data, to develop machine learning algorithms to interrogate data, and to develop and implement a scaling stack to develop products for the purpose of business intelligence.
Works on assigned cross-functional research or analytical projects leveraging advanced computational algorithms.
Applies the tools of modern data science using open source architecture to the analysis of CBRE's proprietary data
Supports data research efforts for product development for internal and external clients.
Develops custom algorithms for solving real estate business problems across a wealth of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources.
Supports the Senior Scientist in the tracking and evaluation of data sources.
Performs other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Masters or Ph.D. degree from top tier school in applied data science computer science, engineering, applied math or related degree, preferred. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Data Scientist Certification or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge of data visualization tools and SQL coding
Demonstrated knowledge of standard machine learning algorithms, based on "An Introduction to Statistical Learning" by James et. al. or similar textbook. Demonstrated knowledge of strengths, weaknesses, and real-world performance of the ML algorithms.
Demonstrated knowledge of web scrapping and data preprocessing.
