The primary role for the Program Manager for Data Management is to provide support services to the Data Management Program. This position will provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams that are responsible for recommending data standards, metric standards and analytic standards for CHRISTUS Health. This position will also participate in all facets of data management and analytics including the following: Day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions in the designated program area; developing, implementing and evaluating program policies, procedures and standards including master data management and data quality; determining program service levels and enhancements; providing technical advice and/or oversight to staff or other departments related to respective programs; evaluating information concerning a customer's conceptual needs and guiding development of system investment proposals; and estimating and coordinating program activities and associated costs. Member of the Enterprise Data Management Committee. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Data Management -- Leads the process to define data definitions, metrics and analytics for CHRISTUS Health including international markets.
Reviews/understands data needs across the organization working closely with the MDM and Data Quality Teams.
Manages CHRISTUS data glossary assuring accurate information is provided to the business
Customer Support - Understands the analytics needs of CHRISTUS facilities and corporate organization, and evaluates opportunities to improve operations through the implementation of analytics
Participates in the BRD process to insure all data elements are captured and metrics are appropriately approved
Vision and Strategy -- Provides input into the CHRISTUS Strategy vision and strategy of the overall Business Intelligence Program.
Program Leadership - Monitors, manages and/or performs day-to-day operations of the assigned programs to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively; take corrective action as necessary.
Portfolio Management -- Manages the introduction of new data through applications that are added to the CHRISTUS portfolio insuring integrity of data definitions and metrics.
Communication -- Provides effective oral and written communications to staff to facilitate understanding of program goals and objectives. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, possesses good negotiating skills and promotes teamwork among subordinates.
Standards --Develops and implements standards and procedures for technical and operational processes, tools and communication techniques. Analyzes and recommends procedural and technical standards and changes to enhance user tasks and correct problem areas, as they become known.
Reporting -- Develops reports reflecting the performance of the overall Data Governance Program.
Support -- Supports Data Quality and MDM Specialist in their respective roles.
Teamwork -- Maintains and demonstrates good teamwork on assigned projects through actions and job performance.
Other -- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Business or related field preferred.
An advanced Information Systems or Business degree will be considered an asset.
Six years of experience in IT or healthcare. Must have working knowledge of the data domains within Healthcare.
