The Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) program is a firm-wide, global initiative that brings together the expertise of Legal, Lines of Business (LOBs), Oversight & Control, Compliance, Risk and other key control functions, to proactively manage regulatory changes in our operations and allow us to trace end-to-end connections between laws, rules and regulations on the one hand, and our policies and procedures that demonstrate compliance on the other.
The JPMorgan CIB Office of Legal Obligations ("OLO") team is responsible for the oversight and management of the CIB End-to-End Legal and Regulatory Process Program ("Program"). This Program is sponsored at the operating committee level of JPMorgan Chase ("JPMC").
The JPMorgan CIB OLO team is responsible for the developing, deploying, overseeing and reporting of a program that ensures that obligations are drafted and proceed through the process lifecycle to completion and to support an ongoing change management process. This includes building awareness of the program in the Firm and ensuring consistency in global understanding and dissemination of regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will support the CIB OLO Mapping and Execution lead by overseeing the data integrity of the approximately 33,000 Obligations that need to be mapped to Firm policies and procedures.
Establish governance around the data integrity of the OLO data sets at the CIB level while working within the Corporate framework
Ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage the Obligations data set; define and build control reports as required to maintain data integrity
Partner with CIB and Corporate OLO staff throughout the full project lifecycle to create new tools, processes, and reports;
Understand the context in which analytics are being requested and provide thought leadership rooted in a deep understanding of the underlying data; articulate meaningful insights digested from large data sets
Provide highly detailed reporting and analyses of OLO metrics; identify exceptions and resolve issues with appropriate escalation
Effectively summarize key messages around data reporting so consumers of the reports have a clear understanding of the story told by the numbers
Foster a culture of collaboration and information sharing for efficient execution; build strong relationships with internal clients
Ensure risks & issues are escalated appropriately within the governance
Experience in Business Intelligence or MIS reporting with a minimum of 1-2 years in Investment & Corporate Banking business or operations.
Strong technical skills as relates to data analysis (SQL, Business Objects, Qlikview, Excel, MS Access). Candidates must have a high degree of comfort working with data and being power users of analytical tools. Expertise in all technologies is not required but candidates must have an appropriate grounding in a relevant area with a willingness to learn.
Very strong analytical and problem solving skills. Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow through on tasks /issues.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills; ability to build consensus and history of success working in a team environment.
Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with senior people
