This portfolio of work will deliver data driven decisions across all critical business functions such as customer acquisitions, loyalty, retention, profitability, risk management, innovation, operations and tackling hard, open-ended problems. The position requires a strong understanding of how analytics can be leveraged for maximum business effect and impact and help business partners understand how to work in a value-added manner with Data Scientists.
Support analytics design decisions by taking relevant inputs from business team and defining clear plan for analytics team; extract relevant insights and interpret model results
Lead both on-shore and off-shore teams in the delivery of data science use cases and mentor data scientists
Participate in all elements of the analytics value pipeline (ideation, exploration, delivery and operationalization) and with specific ownership of exploration, delivery and operationalization
Support communication of analytics outputs with stakeholders; act as bridge between business and analytics specialists; Shares insights with business stakeholders and collects inputs
Develop case studies and support value capture inter-lock with business leadership post project delivery and keep abreast of emerging business and analytic trends in the industry and apply new techniques to drive effective decision making
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Five to eight years of experience in analytics project delivery and/or management consulting concern focusing on analytics translation for data science projects with undergraduate degree in related discipline required
Deep understanding of data science methods and practice: formulating hypotheses, validating models, implementing solutions, measuring impact
Strong working knowledge of advanced analytics tools (SAS, R or Python), an understanding of statistical and/or machine learning model algorithms and strong appreciation of analytical methods/tools/assets to solve functional business problems
Proven ability to translate broad business strategies into clear, specific analytics led use-cases and design business deliverables and solutions; proven analytics advisory capabilities with strong communication – written and oral, structured problem solving and storyboarding skills
Attitude to thrive in a fun fast paced startup like environment and brings high energy and passionate outlook to the role with a strong sense of ownership
Prior hands-on experience working with databases to generate insights and knowledgeable about big data technologies & environments
Knowledge in business intelligence tools such as QlikView or Power BI
