As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Brain Behavior Lab (BBL) and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior using innovative neuroimaging research techniques and the application of bioinformatics resources. LiBI brings together researchers in medicine, psychiatry, engineering, computer science, physics and biostatistics to understand brain structure and function, based on functional and structural neuroimaging data. The data integration analyst position will work with principal investigators and analytic experts and data team to develop and/or implement tools for data acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of both small and large complex data sets.

Data Integration Analyst
We are seeking a full-time data integration analyst to join our team.Â This position offers being part of a team of data scientists, engineers, psychometricians and operations research who work towards expanding brain research combining approaches from cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, and psychiatry with neuroimaging.Â Primary responsibility includes working with principal investigators and analytic experts and data team to develop and/or implement tools for data acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of both small and large complex data sets. She/he will work closely with investigators and clients to query, extract large and complex data sets from multiple data sources (structured and unstructured) and then transfer the data into organized BBL data server into target data schemas. This position includes facilitating data merging and transformation in preparation for analysis by planning the process and either executing directly or training junior staff/coordinators to implement directly.
-Bachelorâ™s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics or information sciences such as business analytics or informatics and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
-2+ years experience in data acquisition, integration, transformation, and cleaning of both structured and unstructured data
-Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS) a must
-Excellent oral and written communication skills a must
-Strong SQL expertise and strong data modelingÂ
-Demonstrated experience with a variety of relational database and data warehousing technology (e.g. Oracle,Â Â MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift)
-Experience with Python, Java, and VBA a plus
-Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools a plus (e.g. Tableau)
-Experience with NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MongoDB) a plus
