ResponsibilitiesThe IT Health Informatics Data Access and Provisioning Team provide UC Davis Health with reports, visualizations, data extracts, and access to EMR data. The Cogito Principle Trainer will be responsible for providing education to business intelligence end users on available reporting assets and the functionality of analytics tools available for use. The Clinical Informatics Trainer 4 will require acquiring and maintaining knowledge of clinical, research, and operations workflows. The Clinical Informatics Trainer 4 will be responsible for customer relationship management, creating partnerships with business intelligence developers and analysts on the EMR application teams. The Clinical Informatics Professional 4 performs as an advisor, high level decision maker, along with being responsible for, developing training materials, course curriculum and additional training documentation. The delivery of classroom training and providing end-user support is an important skill for this role. The analyst will create, follow and maintain best practices for the ITHI department. Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience providing technical training to end users.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Experienced in project management principles including task management, development of timelines, and the ability to manage concurrent deliverables.
Experience with technical analysis, documentation and writing, and the ability to follow team conventions.
Experience with various office software tools such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Demonstrated experience translating customer requirements into technical specifications and documentation.
Experience with end user workflows for two or more Epic applications.
Demonstrated experience creating and presenting oral and written material to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
Current certification in Epic Inpatient, Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, MyChart and Referrals.
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) build and configuration.
Experience with Epic's reporting tools including Radar, Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer.
Over one-year experience in healthcare clinical practice environment including experience with healthcare information systems.
Travel in the Northern California region may be required. Reliable transportation necessary for off-site visits. Mileage and travel expenses will be reimbursed per UC Policy.
Required to pass Epic certification exam within 6 months after hire.
This position will require after hours support during go lives and on call rotations.
Must be able to travel to Wisconsin to attend Epic certification training sessions.
Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible hours as needed to meet committed project dates.
Required to pass a background check.
