BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND REPORTING ANALYST , MIT Open Learning , to help identify needed business systems and reporting and collaborate with report users to design, build, maintain, and communicate data solutions to support Open Learning, with an emphasis on finance. Will maintain relations across Open Learning to understand business needs for information systems and reporting; design, document, develop, test, implement, and maintain Open Learning's business intelligence platform; manage and develop data infrastructure and bring order and insight to complex datasets across disparate systems; perform statistical and other data analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling; build and maintain dashboards, self-service tools and reports; analyze and troubleshoot data and reports and develop scalable and sustainable solutions so that reports are complete, accurate, and appropriate for use; develop ad hoc reports and analysis; serve as expert on Open Learning data and information; and perform other duties as needed.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree, preferably in math, statistics, data science, finance, information management, or related field; seven years' relevant experience; strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills; experienced conducting data analysis, including collecting, cleaning, analyzing, evaluating and synthesizing complex and large datasets from various sources and producing effective, high-quality reports; experience with data visualization and communication tools (e.g., Tableau); meticulous attention to detail; and ability to parse complex and ambiguous business issues into clear analytics and reporting, reach consensus with multiple stakeholders, and provide high-quality work with minimal oversight. PREFERRED : advanced degree; financial analysis and reporting experience; and experience with statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) and database query (e.g., Brio, SQL) languages, predictive analytics techniques, and financial data systems (e.g., SAP).
