The Chemeketa Accelerated Pathways to Success (CAPS) System Analyst position supports college initiatives by providing project oversight, system analysis and technical support for processes and systems utilized by student services functional areas including activities related to the CAPS Grant programs, student recruitment, enrollment services, graduation services and advising. CAPS is a program funded through a Federal Title V Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) grant, which aims to address gaps in persistence and completion outcomes for our Hispanic and low-income students. This role will include determining needs within the functional areas for related software and technical solutions, reviewing system upgrades, modifications, enhancements, and the impact on processes; designing project implementation plans, coordinating projects and establishing systems for meeting project outcomes.

Associate's degree from an accredited institution -AND- Four years working full time in an office environment and in a work team, project management, working with complex systems and/or similar experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution -AND- Two years working full time in an office environment and in a work team, project management, working with complex systems and/or similar experience
Work in a self-directed and self-motivated manner as well as to work in a team- oriented and collaborative environment
Clearly communicate information verbally and in writing to technical and non- technical staff
Analyze and solve complex problems
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment
Ability to learn and apply new technologies
Ability to pay keen attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Experience working within Higher Education
Experience working with projects or organizations that support underserved communities
Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system of higher education (such as Ellucian's Banner, Datatel, PeopleSoft, etc.) as a functional end user
Experience providing technical assistance to functional users
Experience with business intelligence, data analytic or data reporting tools such as: Argos, Cognos, Crystal Reports, etc.
Experience in facilitating development, implementation and maintenance of systems and/or databases
Project management experience including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate into application and operational requirements
Familiarity with privacy practices and laws (e.g. FERPA, HIPAA, Red Flag, etc.)
Experience with Degree Works
