The Product Owner has the overall responsibility of working with the Scrum Team, Product Manager(s) and the customer to identify ideal product requirements. You will develop an understanding of business needs and effectively documents and communicates the needs to team members.
Generate the stories and acceptance criteria that make up the feature backlog
Conduct story refinement/grooming sessions with development and QA to ensure consistent understanding of the requirements and gather estimates.
Responsible for defining value for product deliverables and communicating to the team in a manner that sparks innovative thought
Understand the product strategy and product scope (roadmap)
Order the items in the backlog to best achieve goals and missions as per priority from the Product Manager
Lead multi-day design sprints to create to identify potential challenges and opportunities for market and customer challenges.
Accepts/rejects the delivered work from within each Sprint
Communicate portfolio and project updates to managers & stakeholders
Work with peer Product Owners regarding cross-team dependencies and appropriate scheduling and prioritization of dependent work.
Actively participate in daily scrum meetings, project status meetings, sprint planning
Continuously prioritizes incoming business and customer requests for release planning
Develop Product expertise for internal and external stakeholders
Develop an understanding of the target market and user base, and contributes to product decisions
Recommend additional products and capabilities to enhance and expand a product line to meet strategic business objectives
Triage and work with development teams to resolve product issues
Ensure documentation is updated and maintained
Knowledge of Agile development practices and methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as business intelligence tools, such as, Tableau and Sisense
Familiarity using collaboration and agile management tools such as JIRA, Aha, and Wiki software is preferred
Proven problem solving using analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to learn new applications
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a time-sensitive environment
Work in a collaborative cross-functional environment
Understand the IT landscape and its limitations and possibilities
Adapt to changing business priorities and respond to new requests
Proven experience facilitating product feature or requirements development – gathering input to formulate product features, functions and requirements with clients and/or end-users
Experience writing Agile user stories, experience with SaaS solutions, Industry experience
