Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology, the Manager, ERP Systems is responsible for managing and advancing the NJTPA’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, including its SAP System and Business Intelligence platform (SAP Business Objects and Microsoft BI). Responsibilities include business information systems and programming Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology, the Manager, ERP Systems is responsible for managing and advancing the NJTPA’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, including its SAP System and Business Intelligence platform (SAP Business Objects and Microsoft BI). Responsibilities include business information systems and programming analyses; application systems design, development, implementation, and on-going operation and maintenance; system integrations and reporting; and functional support. Working independently and with only minimal supervision, the Manager generally operates under deadlines and is capable of handling multiple assignments concurrently. The Manager works closely with functional departments and partner agencies in addressing information system needs, assessing solutions, training system users, and solving ad-hoc information management issues, using the most current information technologies available. In addition, the Manager develops strategies to leverage the ERP System and other technologies to create internal efficiency. The Manager is responsible for the development of an effective ERP System planning process, including creation and maintenance of budgets, integrated project schedules, execution in conformance to plans, and the continuing update and adjustment of plans due to changing circumstances. They also must prepare project technical specifications, including solicitations for consultant support services, and ensure adherence to the NJTPA's financial and procurement processes and policies. The Manager exercises overall day-to-day control of the NJTPA’s ERP System’s projects and coordination of its team resources, balancing the needs for program success with available resources and the skills and capabilities of the staff and consultants. They are also responsible for making timely, effective decisions and interacting regularly across various departments and organizational levels - in order to negotiate solutions that foster strong team relationships and continued success of the program, while approaching needed decisions in a logical and thoughtful manner and weighing conflicting information.
Preferred Qualifications: • Masters’ Degree. • SAP Certification. • Working knowledge of standard hardware/software in a desktop/server environment, including MS Windows Server operating system, MS Office Suite and 365, SQL database, MS BI, Crystal Reports, and Cognos. • Experience managing and delivering information technology/systems projects.
