The Senior Research Analyst, under the supervision of the Assistant Provost for Academic Data and Decision Support, produces detailed reports for University Leadership including the President, Provost, and the Board of Trustees for use in strategic decision making. Additionally, s/he provides research support, analysis, and presentations for other stakeholders, including Deans, graduate program Chairs, accrediting bodies, and external review committees. Maintains internal and external databases. Collects, extracts and analyzes programmatic data. Identifies trends, prepares high level dashboards (or summaries), and communicates findings to support data-driven decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in statistics, quantitative social science, computer science or related analytical field and 5+ years of related work experience; Master's degree preferred.
Proficiency in a programming language (R, SPSS, SQL).
Experience with a business intelligence and data visualization tool (Micro strategy, Power BI, Tableau preferred).
At least three years of experience in a research or educational environment
Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel and good familiarity with Access.
Experience working with surveys and survey data.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with staff and administration.
Willingness to learn new skills, tools, and institutional data management practices as needed.
