This position plays a key and active role in the University's efforts to create new, grow existing, and steward University collaboration with businesses and organizations. Fulfilling its land grant mission and contributing to the University's economic development efforts. The ideal candidate will serve in a leadership and strategic role overseeing the information, marketing and communications that drives long-term strategy and priorities towards the University's business engagements. Responsible for the coordination of a campus wide, cross functional team focused on integrating processes, methodology and systems to advance key business engagements. The Associate Director of Business Engagement will play an important role in ensuring momentum and execution against key performance indicators. The successful candidate will be a proven and collaborative leader, able to navigate across internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for adding value to the University, by delivering qualified leads, actionable insights and strategic recommendations that advance key business engagement objectives. This position will be relied upon to develop a strategy and perform market analysis, recognize emerging areas, and present new business models. This involves proactively researching and highlighting both opportunities and challenges, and developing effective communication strategies.
