Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Wells Fargo Auto Credit Risk team is part of Corporate Risk organization, and provides guidance on credit quality, and manages Credit Risk proactively for the Wells Fargo Auto Finance business. Within this group, we are seeking a Consumer Credit Senior Associate to join the Business Intelligence Team.
The Role: Consumer Credit Senior Associate will contribute to Portfolio, Originations and Collections Analytics, and will be responsible for compiling the portfolio packet to proactively tell the performance of the overall Auto portfolio. The role will assist in creating narratives for WF Auto, and collaborate with internal partners to create effective story lines.
Specific responsibilities include:
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, extract key insights and translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
Produce Portfolio Packet consisting of key performance metrics across all of the key areas of business
Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to provide insights into behavior of specific segments
Provide analytical support for any Credit Policy related changes
Develop effective daily monitoring for portfolio and operational KPIs, and publish the metrics visually
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including Corporate Risk, Finance, Technology, Credit/UW, Operations and other support teams on Credit Risk/Business initiatives
Craft storylines and create effective PowerPoint presentations for senior management/executives
Support any other Adhoc reporting and/or analyses to improve overall portfolio performance
5+ years of experience in risk role
3+ years of SAS experience
Knowledge and understanding of SQL
A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Background in Consumer Finance Credit Risk, with a desired focus in Auto Finance
6+ years of advanced data mining/analytics experience
Extensive experience working with large datasets and performing complex data manipulations in SAS, R or similar technologies
Experience preparing/presenting material for senior/executive management
Demonstrated ability to work well in team environment, independently and across organizational boundaries
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
