Job Description Summary Seeking an experienced technical leader to augment Bentley's Data & Analytics team. This person will understand and demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of an enterprise reporting and analytics environment, and also have proven experience with commonly used data capture tools, including Informatica, RESTful API, Power BI, relational databases, data modeling, data sourcing techniques, and data preparation methods. You will design data warehouse data models and dimensional data models, implement ETL and write multidimensional queries. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively lead and participate in high-functioning teams and design, develop, and implement enterprise data repositories and end-to-end data acquisition plans; he/she will work with Bentley functional subject matter experts to help analyze and refine data requirements and create data repositories that can be consumed by a wide variety of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. He/she will support production systems as needed and will work with both IT and business professionals to help transform the university's data environment in support of the university's business strategy. The candidate will be able to work effectively with business users at all levels of the organization to understand business requirements and translate those into appropriate technical solutions.
10+ years of experience as a data architect, preferably in a leadership role;
Strong knowledge of transactional database systems (particularly Oracle, MSSQL, HDFS and PostgreSQL) and Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence / analytics systems;
Working knowledge of business systems analysis, requirements gathering, data modeling, and enterprise-level data acquisition strategies;
Experience with ETL tools, such as Informatica, or similar;
Experience with ERwin Data Modeler or a comparable data modeling tool;
Experience with database change management processes;
Knowledge of Java, SQL, scripting(Python, shell);
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
Ability to work independently and also be an exceptional team player; and
Thrives in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
Bachelor's degree in data analytics or computer information systems;
Knowledge of the Higher Education applications environment is preferred but not required;
Experience with Informatica Cloud is highly desirable;
Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) is highly desirable;
Experience with the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Student system is preferred but not required.
