This Senior Financial Analyst - Heart Center will be responsible for:
Performing detailed analyses of Hospital Revenue Cycle activity. Reviews activity for accuracy, completeness, reasonableness, interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations for corrective action.
Reviewing Hospital/physician service contracts and fee schedules, if assigned. Collecting data and developing pricing of new programs and services consistent with the hospital's pricing policy, if required in the position. Evaluating financial impact of pricing initiatives.
Designing programs/maintaining databases to support and/produce various reporting. Contacting departments within the hospital to analyze and improve the quality and integrity of the databases and related programs. Developing methodologies and internal reporting systems to gather and compile the required data.
Developing and preparing a variety of ad-hoc reporting, financial models and analyses to senior management.
Working with department managers to educate, advise, interpret the relationship of Revenue Cycle processes to reports; trouble shoot; and resolve problems, including providing written analyses, explanations and interpretations of all aspects of Revenue Cycle, including financial and budgeting.
Researching and analyzing financial data. Creating, organizing, and maintaining files using business intelligence and spreadsheet programs; retrieving and organizing data into reporting formats; collects, retrieves and organizes data to identify discrepancies and resolve inquiries; recommends solutions and ensuring that corrections or changes are implemented properly.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources; apply professional principles to perform various analyses; summarize the information and data in order to solve problems; or design relatively complex systems and programs across a matrix organization.
Strong communication oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office applications and/or Business Intelligence systems.
