The Applications Development Specialist (Business Intelligence) shall be responsible for:
Providing solutions to internal business partners for metrics and analytical information using state of the art reporting and dashboard tools.
Participating in all phases of the development process from analyzing the request through design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of reports, dashboards and ad hoc queries in the context of the hospital's clinical, financial and administrative systems.
To qualify, you must have:
Knowledge typically acquired with a degree in Statistics/Computer Science or a closely related field or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts of Enterprise Analytics, Reporting and Dashboard development preferably in a health care provider setting.
Experience in python coding.
Solid experience with MicroStrategy or related Business Intelligence reporting and visualization software. Certification a plus.
The ability to write and interpret SQL code.
Comfortable working in a team-based matrix structure.
Attention to detail and superior listening skills.
Experience with data extraction from a data warehouse or manipulation of large complex data sets.
Understanding of statistical approaches to support advanced analytics using R, SPSS, or SAS would be a strong plus.
