About the role:
As part of Wells Fargo Technology team, this is a management position responsible for leading a team of highly skilled engineers in HCM arena. The incumbent of this position is responsible for leading a cross-functional team through the complete software development lifecycle, developing in a fast-paced environment. Drives complex programming activities with an agile mindset using the latest technologies to build products that are scalable, durable, and secure. Detailed Job requirements:
Approx. 15+ years of experience, of which at least 5 years in technology leadership roles.
Demonstrable success in creating and driving effective technology teams in global business environments.
Delivers high-quality, scalable and cost-effective technology solutions that meet business requirements and conform to architectural designs and technology.
Lead design and implementation of a new HR data warehouse to be used for enterprise consumption of HR data and reporting.
Provide data design services to address data consumption needs for HR Systems' Data across the Enterprise
Deliver data modeling for Schema On Write implementations, specializing in Data Vault and Star Schema modeling techniques and patterns.
Build next generation operational dashboard reporting platform and then build reports based on user stories which satisfy enterprise business needs for HR data
3+ years of experience with 1 or more Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.)
Knowledge of Big Data principles and design – Hadoop and some of the related technologies – Elastic Search, Spark, Drill, Yarn would be a huge plus.
Experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, AbInitio or other similar ETL tool
Extensive experience in core data management activities (e.g. data integration, data specifications, ETL, etc.)
Strong SQL experience and the ability to work on multiple aspects of a data projects including ETL, tools integrations, data results and APIs.
Analytic sense - ability to discern the most sensible way to make a data informed decision.
Data Proficiency - practical and theoretical understanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection.
Analytic Proficiency - keen understanding of analytics tools and frameworks like scikit, Jupyter, Zeppelin, Tableau, etc.
Knowledge of large-scale distributed data processing systems, data lake formation, governance, and compute/storage optimizations.
Act as a technical and change advocate – promoting use of technology and assessing landscape for continuous improvement
Take ownership of delivery and manage multi-release projects in AGILE
Ability to decide and act without having the big picture and comfortable handling risk and uncertainty
Manages and mentors team of direct reports by providing career path conversations and guidance, and helping them achieve their goals through effective development and training plans
Ability to effectively communicate with and manage project stakeholders across multiple levels.
Ability to make difficult decisions balancing business requirements, project timelines / budgets, and product and technology roadmaps and architectural designs.
