As the keeper of our financial information, our Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions, reporting, and insights to support data driven decisions that foster the growth of our team and those we serve. In addition, our Accountant works with both the Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute and Barry-Wehmiller Corporate Finance teams to identify ways to streamline and improve the financial process and systems to support the evolving business. We’re a 5-year-old company with a global footprint. You start your morning focused on St. Louis and by noon you’ve touched Cape Town, South Africa.
On any given day, you’ll be doing one or all of these things:
Responsible for the day to day financial activities including Invoicing, A/R, A/P, cash management, electronic payment gateway, data integrity and record keeping
Prepare monthly close and coordinate entries with BW Finance for consolidated reporting requirements consistent with corporate standards.
Identify opportunities to build client and vendor trust
Examine and analyze accounting records, processes and financial statements to provide insight to business operations and ensure conformance to corporate reporting standards.
Audit invoices and expenses to ensure all reimbursed travel related charges are billed to Client
Budgeting and Forecasting
Develop, maintain, and analyze annual budgets, forecasts, and prepare periodic reports to compare actual performance to plan and provide business insights.
Develop client and product related reporting to support decision making and planning
Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and integrate solutions to remove frustrations and inefficiencies improving processes and insights.
Document process and procedures to support sustained growth of team, data integrity, security, and integration with other systems (Business Central, CRM, Treasury Workstation, HFM, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
2-4 years of experience in accounting
Full charge bookkeeping experience preferred
Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and business intelligence software preferred
