Corporate & Investment Banking Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), led by Jon Weiss, is a global business delivering a comprehensive suite of traditional banking solutions including credit, treasury management and payments, and capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo. The Control Executive for CIB, Mary Lou Peters, has a business-aligned Control team that will closely partner with Operations Control for all aspects of the CIB business, including Securities Operations that support Wells Fargo Securities (WFS LLC) and regional broker dealers, derivative operations that support its Swap Dealer (WFBNA) including regional branches, and its Global Payments Services, Mortgage Servicing, FCM, and Prime Services businesses. The role will also coordinate with other lines of business that operate in regions outside the United States, providing a comprehensive risk coverage of Operations to International Control, which reports in to CIB Control. The role also will provide Control coverage for the COO function within CIB, including Shared Services performed within the COO function (whether centrally or distributed at the line of business level).
The Role CIB Analytics, Reporting, and Business Initiative Consultant:
The purpose of the CIB Control analytics and reporting team is to identify, assess and mitigate risks across L1 Risk types, coordinating with businesses operating in the US and internationally, while adhering to policies established by Independent Risk Management (IRM).
Specific responsibilities include:
Support the design and implementation of Front Line risk and control reporting across CIB and all international regions, ensuring consistent standards and aggregation of metrics at the legal entity, regional and business group levels.
Support the development of risk data and analytics across CIB and all international regions in close coordination with Wells Fargo's Data Management & Insights group, Independent Risk Management and Wholesale Control Analytics and Reporting.
Be an integral part of implementing a fully integrated analytics and reporting infrastructure to support the group and leverage resources for multiple on-going activities/initiatives.
Identify, assess and help solution for Front Line data risks, including governance, storage and movement.
Create tools/reporting and establish methodologies to deliver clear, consistent risk management messaging.
Produce performance monitoring and benchmarking regarding CIB and international activity delinquency, losses and/or performance.
Identify, review and analyze trends within CIB and international data and recommend strategies as appropriate.
Develop complex coding/programming to extract data and/or manipulate databases to facilitate statistical and financial modeling.
Conduct Front Line risk assessments or reviews and report results as appropriate.
Conduct root cause analyses, gap assessments and/or design remediation plans accordingly.

8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
5+ years of SQL or SAS experience
7+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
7+ years of experience delivering Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and reporting using API Services architecture
3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
Knowledge and understanding of relational database concepts, querying, data warehousing, ETL process, requirements gathering and/or decision support tools
Data modeling experience
Knowledge and understanding of financial services risk management
Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

Other Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in programs such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics or computer sciences and 4+ years reporting and analytical experience.
Ability to lead the design and implementation of risk and control reporting across CIB and international regions.
Ability to lead the establishment of risk data (KRI and KPI) across international regions.
Proficient knowledge and experience in International Financial Services and regulatory agencies, especially those in particular international regions.
Strong experience and business acumen in the financial services industry, products, and regulatory environment.
Working knowledge of the different risk stripes, CIB, international, RCSA, trading metrics, compliance, and issues management.
Experience with SHRP and data governance tools.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
