The anticipated start date for The Enterprise Data and Software Analyst position is January 19, 2021. The first consideration date for applications is December 1, 2020 by 5PM EST. The Enterprise Data & Software Analyst will focus heavily on three areas consisting of administrative software, reporting, and data governance. Tasks will include oversight of data consistency, accuracy, and integrity such as managing permissions throughout disparate systems. This role will actively support the College’s primary ERP systems including planning, testing, research, user requests, updates, troubleshooting, and escalation.
They will conduct regular meetings and facilitate communication between department stakeholders. This position is responsible for relevant reporting needs and/or training users in reporting for other areas of the college to accomplish day to day operations and special projects as relates to data management.
Operations and Support
High focus on report writing and generation to support a wide-range of aspects including both internal and external audiences such as audit, state, and federal needs.
Oversight for enterprise-level data controls, mapping, & governance.
Responsible for accounts and permissions in various ERP and ancillary systems
Act as a user liaison for module managers, troubleshoot issues, and oversee third party support services when needed. Escalate support tickets when necessary and maintain productive relationships with vendors.
Schedule, prepare agenda, and conduct regular ERP user meetings, in partnership with other IT staff.
Assist with department communication to campus in consultation with the IT Director. Examples might include writing guides, modifying web content, and campus emails for various maintenance and outages
Train and assist colleagues with appropriate data extraction in order to create community self-reliance where appropriate.
Research, collaborate, and recommend creative, and where possible automated, approaches for tasks. Identify approaches that leverage the College’s resources and provide economies of scale.
Learn seasonal cycles and work proactively to meet or beat deadlines.
Information security is a key responsibility throughout the ITS office including various stages of data handling. This role will regularly review relevant credentials, security controls, and ensure backups for configuration, mappings, etc.
Proactive support of various systems to avoid performance problems in coordination with Systems Administrator.
Other data, software, account, and report maintenance as needed.
Grow skills towards parallel campus needs & personal interests. Examples might include higher levels of business intelligence & analytics, database administration, advanced SQL, programming, relevant 3rd party APIs, etc.
Documentation and Communication
Determine and actively document work processes and techniques for common tasks, data dictionaries for fields, types, formats, values, etc.
All IT staff are expected to assist and cross-train with other needs/areas within the department. In particular, this role will work closely alongside the Data Integration Coordinator as well as the Systems Administrator to accomplish various tasks. Initiative, ability to work independently, attention to detail and accuracy are necessary in this position.
Communicate and cooperate effectively with ITS staff and various campus departments; including but not limited to excellent prioritization, communication, research, & documentation skills.

Associates degree in Applied Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field or comparable work experience.
One to three years database reporting, mapping, and SQL query experience.
One to three years experience with ERP & reporting software systems.
Demonstrated experience working with large/complex datasets in various formats.
Demonstrated success working as an effective team player.

Specific familiarity with Jenzabar, Informer, or Infomaker.
Related Information Technology certifications
